How do you prioritize both physical and mental wellness in the kitchen?
As someone who went to school for nutrition, I fully believe food is medicine. I try to support my physical and mental health by nourishing my body from the inside out. That means I’m always looking for the easiest ways to make quick and healthy meals. I love that Caraway cookware is non-toxic so I know my food is prepared safely plus the cleanup is so easy! Everything comes right off the non-stick pans so easily making cleanup a breeze.
What keeps you motivated to cook at home?
I love trying new recipes and I love following Instagram accounts like Half Baked Harvest for recipe inspiration to make cooking fun and something to look forward to. I don’t love to clean up afterward though so I love using Caraway cookware because the non-stick pans make clean up a breeze.
How do you use cooking to show love for either yourself or others?
I love cooking, especially for my loved ones. I really believe cooking is a love language. It’s so rewarding to provide nourishing meals to keep your loved ones healthy and happy. I also like to remind myself that the only way to really know what’s going into your food is to prepare it yourself. That’s also why I love to cook with Caraway because they’re non-toxic so I know the meals I prepare are nourishing and safely prepared.
How does the set up of your physical space impact the way you use your the kitchen?
Organization is key to keeping my kitchen functioning. I like my kitchen to be organized in a way that makes sense while cooking to make the process easier. I love Caraway for that exact reason – their sets come with the most amazing magnetized organization racks for the pots and pans and the handiest lid organizer that you can hang on your wall so your drawers aren’t cluttered chaos. These organizers make such a difference in my motivation to be in the kitchen.
What healthy habits are you looking to establish in the kitchen this year?
I’d like to meal prep more consistently to make my life a little easier and save time during the week. I ordered the non-toxic Food Storage Set from Caraway in the cutest color, Mist and I’m excited to start using those to meal prep. Easy tools like this help me stay on top of my health goals and even save some money by cooking more meals at home.
