Where does the Caraway name come from?

Caraway is a type of biennial flower that sprouts flavorful seeds commonly used in rye bread recipes. The oblong shape of the seed inspired our ergonomic pots and pans handle design.

Where are Caraway products made?

Our founder designed Caraway in New York and vetted vendors worldwide when deciding where to produce. As a result, our products are all made in world-class factories based in China, all of which adhere to our strict ethical manufacturing practices and maintain the required standards for BSCI or SMETA.

Our partners have the same thoughtful work environments we provide for our own employees as part of the Caraway family. You deserve top-of-the-line kitchenware heading into this exciting next chapter of your life! We’ve partnered with Zola to make it incredibly easy for you to register your dream Caraway set. Once you’ve installed the “Add to Zola” button to your browser, find your desired Caraway set and click the button to add it to your registry. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept most major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) as well as PayPal, Amazon Pay, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, and Afterpay.

Can I pay with installments using Afterpay?

Yes, we offer Afterpay to all customers at no additional cost. Afterpay allows you to purchase Caraway products via 4 interest-free installments paid out bi-weekly. To utilize this, select Afterpay as your payment type in the last step of checkout. Afterpay T&Cs apply.

What is Installments with Afterpay? Installments with Afterpay is a service that allows you to make purchases now and pay for them overtime. To learn more, visit www.afterpay.com.

How do I use Installments with Afterpay? Simply shop online and add items to your shopping bag and checkout as normal. At the checkout choose Installments with Afterpay as your payment method. First-time customers will need to register with Afterpay and provide payment details, as usual, returning customers simply log in tomake their purchase. It’s that easy! Please note that all items in your shopping bag must be eligible for Installments with Afterpay. A minimum purchase amount may apply and you must meet additional eligibility requirements to qualify.

Can I use Installments with Afterpay if I’m an international customer? How does the payment schedule work? For pay-in-4 payments, generally customers are required to make their down payment at the time of purchase, with the remaining three payments deducted every two weeks from your chosen payment method. For monthly payments, customers may be required to make a down payment at the time of purchase.The remaining payments will be deducted every month from your payment method until all scheduled payments are complete. For all Afterpay payments, you can log in to your Afterpay account to view your payment schedule and make a payment before the due date if you choose to do so.

When will my items be delivered if I use Installments with Afterpay? Afterpay orders are delivered pursuant to deliverytime frames presented by Caraway Home when you complete your order online.

Is there a limit to how much I can spend on a single transaction? Yes, transaction value limits apply to purchases made on www.carawayhome.com using Installments by Afterpay.

Are there products that are not eligible for purchase using Installments with Afterpay? There are certain items that are restricted from purchase using Afterpay.

How do I return or exchange an item purchased using Installments with Afterpay? Subject to Caraway Home’s return and refund policies, if you have changed your mind, you may be able to return your Afterpay purchase for a refund. Please check that your return or exchange meets Caraway Home’s Return policy here. Afterpay will be notified of your return and will process the appropriate refunds. Please do not return your purchase to Afterpay. If you are fully returning items you purchased using the monthly payments option and a refund is owed, any amounts paid towards the good or service, will be refunded; any interest that has already been paid will not be refunded. You may be charged interest for the period of time before your refund is processed. If you believe there is fault or concern with your Afterpay purchase payment, please contact Afterpay customer support at info@afterpay.com.

What happens if I don’t pay my Afterpay installments on time? You will be prevented from using Afterpay and you may be charged a late fee.

What happens if I have a partial refund, and how does that affect my payments? Afterpay will be notified once your refund is processed. If you purchased using pay-in-4, your payment plan will be automatically adjusted to reflect the new total order value starting with the last payment and working backward. In the case where a refund amount is larger than 25% of the total order, Afterpay will eliminate the fourth installment paymentand apply the remaining amount to your earlier payments. If you purchased using monthly payments, interest already paid will not be refunded. Any amounts paid toward the good or service will be adjusted; interest will be recalculated based upon the adjusted amount.

Does Afterpay charge interest? Pay-in-4 purchases are always interest-free. Monthly payments may include interest. If your installment loan includes interest, you will be able to see the amount you will owe before completing the purchase.

Can I cancel an order after it’s been placed?

You can cancel an order for up to an hour from when it has been placed. If your order has already been processed, please use our Returns Portal to set up a return.

What days do you deliver on?

Caraway delivers Monday to Saturday through UPS and USPS. Packages shipped with USPS may deliver Sunday depending on your area.

My order has shipped, where can I track it?

When your order is complete and confirmed by our team, we’ll send out an email once it’s shipped out! This email will include a tracking number that you can use to track the journey of your package. If you haven’t received a tracking number and it’s been about two business days, please reach out to our support team at help@carawayhome.com or through chat!

How come I don’t see any updates on my tracking information?

Don’t stress! If your tracking information says “Label Processed,” that means we’re busy getting your order prepared to ship. Orders are usually processed and shipped within two business days.

I placed my order but haven't received my confirmation email. What next?

If you haven't received a confirmation within a few hours of placing your order, check your Spam or Junk folders, or reach out to us at help@carawayhome.com or through chat!

The product I want is out of stock. Now what?

While we can’t promise a color will come back in stock, we do restock many of our core colors. Our product pages will give you an estimation of when orders will ship next.

What types of Gift Cards do you offer?

We offer Digital Gift Cards here that are delivered to your email immediately after purchase with instructions on how to redeem the gift amount at checkout. Please note that purchases made with Gift Cards are non-refundable. You can check the balance of your gift card by reaching out to our team.

Do I need to pay tax on my order?

State laws require us to charge sales tax to addresses in most states. If your state requires it, you’ll see sales tax added at checkout.

Should I hand wash my Caraway products or can I use the dishwasher?

Dishwashers are notorious for their harsh detergents and abrasive way of cleaning. Because of this, we suggest that all Caraway products never be put in your dishwasher since it drastically reduces the life of your non-stick properties and can potentially cause cosmetic damage. Instead, a gentle hand wash is all you need to keep your Caraway looking fresh!

How do I clean my pans?

Clean with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge or dishcloth to keep your pans looking fresh! Avoid the dishwasher as the detergent can damage the non-stick coating.

What type of tools should I use with the cookware & bakeware?

Wooden, silicone, plastic, or nylon utensils are all great to use with your Caraway products! Rough, sharp edges of metal utensils can damage the non-stick coating, and we strongly recommend that you avoid these.

Do I need butter, oil, or cooking spray to cook with Caraway cookware?

Ceramic is naturally a non-stick cooking surface, so a very little amount of oil or butter will go a long way. We suggest coating the entire interior with a light dab using a paper towel or cloth to keep things silky smooth when cooking.

Do I need to season my pans?

Ceramic non-stick pans, unlike cast iron, do not need seasoning. Other than giving your products a quick rinse with warm, soapy water when you first receive them, you’re ready to start cooking!

How hot do my pans need to be to start cooking?

Low to medium heat is all you need! Our pans heat up in under a minute and can retain its temperature more efficiently compared to traditional cookware. You’ll be able to crisp and fry all day long thanks to our non-stick layers.

How safe is your non-stick coating?

Our ceramic non-stick is made from inorganic natural ingredients which are all 100% safe to use in contact with all foods (and FDA approved). Plus, the absence of potentially dangerous chemicals like PTFE, PFOA, PFAS, Lead, and Cadmium means that there is no chance of harmful materials leaching into your food, even if you accidentally scratch or overheat your pan.

Does Caraway ceramic non-stick wear over time?

Yes, all non-stick coatings will slowly wear off given frequent use. Just like your favorite pair of shoes, the more you use them the faster they wear out. But with delicate care and cleaning, Caraway cookware is designed to last years!

How many boxes should I expect my cookware/bakeware to arrive in?

For each complete set you order, you can expect will one compact, recyclable box to eliminate waste and keep everything simple.

Ceramic-Coated Cookware
What can I make in Caraway cookware?

Anything that you can dream up! Our Cookware Set is versatile enough to handle all sorts of recipes–from scrambled eggs to a demi-glace.

Is it safe to use on all stovetops and ovens?

Yes! Our cookware is induction compatible. Although our cookware is compatible with induction stovetops, not all induction stovetops are compatible with us! We suggest reaching out to your manufacturer to confirm.

Our Ceramic cookware can also handle up to 550°F without breaking a sweat. Each piece of cookware is designed purposefully to be used in and on all cooking surfaces and ovens.

Is there a lid for the Fry Pan?

The Fry Pan uses our medium sized lid which it shares with the Dutch Oven. This means you get this lid with purchase of the full Cookware Set and with the purchase of the Dutch Oven. We also carry a 10.5” glass lid which can be found here !

Is the storage system included in the cookware set?

Yes, it sure is! When you purchase a cookware set you receive our uniquely designed pan racks and lid holder! The storage system is only available with the purchase of a full cookware set, and is not sold individually even if multiple pieces are purchased.

Stainless Steel Cookware
What is 5-ply Stainless Steel?

“Ply” refers to the number of bonded layers present in the cookware. Our Stainless Steel Cookware is 5-ply, making for superior heat conduction & distribution, as well as maximum durability.

Does Stainless Steel cookware contain aluminum?

Our cookware features an aluminum core surrounded by 5-ply Stainless Steel, so there is no concern of leaching. Aluminum is a superior conductor of heat and enables the pans to heat quickly & evenly, while the Stainless Steel provides you with a durable non-corrosive & non-toxic cooking surface–it's a win-win.

Does stainless steel require seasoning?

Nope! Stainless Steel doesn’t need to be seasoned like traditional cast-iron or carbon steel. However, following proper heating instructions will go a long way in maximizing cooking performance.

Will the Stainless Steel discolor?

Exposure to prolonged periods of heat may cause discoloration over time, but this will not affect performance! Any Stainless Steel cookware cleaner will have your pans looking as good as new.

Can I use metal utensils?

We recommend using our FSC-certified wood utensils (or similar) to keep the cooking surface as scratch-free (and high performing) as possible!

Are the pans induction and oven compatible?

You bet! All pans have a magnetized stainless steel base plate that can be used with induction stovetops. Additionally, all pans are oven safe up to 550ºF and used under the broiler.

How does Caraway’s Stainless Steel passivation process work?

Caraway’s passivation process treats raw stainless steel during manufacturing with a natural citric solution to form a protective barrier around the entire pan body, thereby extending the life of your cookware, eliminating impurities, and making them easier to clean and maintain. We’ve chosen a citric wash since it is 100% non-toxic, biodegradable, and renewable. The result? Ultra-durable, corrosion-resistant, and chemical-free cookware that will last a lifetime.

Is Stainless Steel safe for food? What about chromium and nickel?

Stainless steel is widely regarded as one of the safest cooking materials! The addition of chromium and nickel provide important benefits such as increased corrosion resistance & durability, and won’t affect your food in any harmful way.

If you have a nickel or chromium allergy, we recommend not using this cookware.

What is your warranty policy?

We offer a limited lifetime warranty on all of our Stainless Steel products within the US. This covers the repair or replacement of any Stainless Steel products that are found to be defective in material or construction under normal, non-professional use and when cared for in accordance with the provided instructions. Is the storage system included in the Bakeware Set?

All purchases of our Bakeware Sets come with our custom-designed storage solutions. The Half-Bakeware Set includes one such system and the Complete Bakeware Set includes two. The storage systems are only available with purchase of the sets and are not sold separately or included with individual Bakeware pieces.

What material is your Bakeware made of, and is it non-stick?

Our Bakeware is manufactured with an aluminized steel core, stainless steel handles, and a cooking surface that’s coated with the exact same non-toxic Ceramic coating as our Ceramic-coated Cookware. Aluminum is a superior conductor of heat and enables the pans to heat quickly and evenly, while the Ceramic coating is non-stick and free of lead, cadmium, PTFE (Teflon®), PFOA, and other harmful chemicals.

Prepware
How do I safely handle my knives?

These high-quality knives have incredibly sharp blades for precision and ease of use. Use caution when taking them in and out of the knife block and follow the curvature of the internal bumper.

Can the storage pieces be disassembled for cleaning?

All storage pieces are modular and can easily be removed and put back together.

Do the knives need to be sharpened on a regular basis?

We recommend using a honing rod every 5 uses, and a knife sharpener 1-2 times per year. With that in mind, remember that a sharp & precise knife is always safer than a dull one.

Will the knives rust?

Our premium stainless steel blades shouldn’t rust with proper care. However if you do start to notice some rust, a stainless steel cleaner will take care of the job in no time.

Can I put my knives, utensils, or cutting boards in the dishwasher?

Dishwashers are a notorious and abrasive way of cleaning, and they also tend to quickly dull knives and cause wooden utensils or boards to splinter. Because of this, we suggest hand washing your prepware to keep it in pristine condition for years to come.

How do I care for my cutting boards?

To extend each board’s longevity, apply mineral oil with a clean cloth once a month. Let oil set for a few hours before wiping dry with a cloth. For an extra shine, apply food-grade beeswax once dry. Never use vegetable or nut-based oils on your board.

How do I disinfect my boards?

To disinfect stains, you can squeeze fresh lemon juice onto your boards with a sprinkle of kosher salt, using the lemon to rub the mixture across the entire area. Once dry, gently scrape off. Alternatively, use a solution of 25% distilled white vinegar and 75% water. Never use bleach or baking soda on your boards!

What’s the warranty policy for the Kitchen Gadgets Set?

Caraway offers a limited lifetime warranty policy of one year from date of purchase. The warranty excludes damage from misuse, abuse, failure to follow instructions, wear and tear, modifications, transit-related loss or damage, and unforeseen accidents or circumstances beyond our control.

Are the Kitchen Gadgets heavy?

Our Kitchen Gadgets are evenly-weighted, with the heaviest one (Garlic Press) weighing less than a box of pasta. While heavier than some plastic alternatives, we’ve chosen the lightest quality materials that still provide enhanced performance.

Can I sharpen the blade on the Pizza Cutter and Vegetable Peeler?

The blades come factory-sharpened and will retain their edge for extended periods of time. We do not recommend sharpening at home, as this may damage the blades or risk injury.

Linens
What materials are your linens made from?

Our linens are made from 100% cotton. They are machine washable - make sure you wash before first use, and either tumble dry low or hand dry!

How do I start a return?

Caraway provides a 30-day return window, to get started head to our returns portal here .

*Please note that we reserve the right to limit returns when we suspect fraudulent behavior from a customer. In addition, bulk purchases are considered final sale and are not eligible to be returned.

How much does shipping cost?

Standard shipping is free on all purchases for orders to the continental US above $90. Orders below this threshold are charged shipping rates depending on the product.

Shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, or any international destination will come at an additional cost. You can see specific shipping charges during checkout.

What is Caraway Shipping Protection?

Caraway Shipping Protection is a package protection solution offered by Corso that helps cover your order in the event that your order gets lost, stolen, or damaged while in transit while also protecting the planet. We know how frustrating it is to have something happen to your order, so we’ve partnered with Corso to offer added assurance that you’re supported, no matter what. It can be added during checkout.

How does Caraway Shipping Protection work?

If your protected order ends up lost, damaged, or stolen, Corso’s expert support team helps ensure that your order gets replaced or refunded as preferred. Claims will be reviewed for approval within 1-5 business days from filing.

When should I file a route claim?

Marked As Delivered (Stolen)

Claims will be reviewed no earlier than 5 calendar days and no later than 15 calendar days from when it was marked delivered. Please note, some order issues may require a police report to be filed.

Stuck In Transit (Lost)

For domestic orders, claims will be reviewed no earlier than 2 calendar days and no later than 30 calendar days from the last update. The maximum filing time is 60 days from the order date. For international orders, claims will be reviewed no earlier than 20 calendar days and no later than 30 calendar days from the last update. The maximum filing time is 60 days from the order date.

Damaged

Claims for damaged items require photos of the packaging and item(s) and must be filed no later than 15 calendar days from when it was marked delivered.

Where does Caraway ship?

We ship to all states in the USA, including Hawaii & Alaska. We do not ship to APO and FPO addresses, or to PO Boxes.

We also offer shipping options to customers in Canada, United Kingdom, EU and Australia.

For the UK, to get your order to you, we've partnered with Passport Shipping who act as the Seller for all orders to the UK under £135 and under €150 to the EU

I cooked in the product I am returning! What do you do with used returned items?

All returned Caraway products are donated, as long as it is in good condition. If not, it will be recycled.

When exactly will I receive my order?

For standard shipping in the continental US, between 2–5 business days once your order has been processed. 3–7 days for Hawaii and Alaska. Preferred shipping is also available at an additional fee, which can prioritize an order to process and ship out so that it may arrive sooner.

The above shipping standards apply to when a product has been shipped. Any items on backorder contain estimated ship dates in the future, and therefore will see the above timelines once the product has been restocked and shipped out. Please refer to your order confirmation or the product page for estimated backorder dates.
